My husband AJ and I said “I do” on what seemed like, the hottest day in July of 2020. We were surrounded by a few of our family members and lots of love. Like many couples, our wedding plans were turned upside down by the uncertainty of the world, but we knew one thing for sure: we wanted to start our forever, no matter what.
Although we were holding onto the dream of a big wedding, we decided to instead elope in Dallas. We found the dress (online!), the suit, a florist, a photographer, and our loving pastor who graciously agreed to marry us in a small church ceremony that felt deeply personal and unforgettable.
It wasn’t the wedding we originally planned, but it was everything we needed and more. Simple, sacred, and sincerely us!
